About Us
Benchmark Design Group has been providing custom residential design services to homeowners in Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland for the last fifteen years.We will work closely with you so that we understand your needs and help you through the design process so that your project will run smoothly and you will enjoy your new home, addition or renovation for many years. As your design advocate, we will work with you so that you understand all of th steps necessary to complete your project.
While our efforts usually concentrate on design services for your home, we can also help you with other related services, such as engineering services, project budgeting and construction administration. We have strong working relationships with many builders so, if requested, we can help you find a builder. We can also discuss different project delivery options, including design-build.
To help you to understand the design process as well as the design options for your home, we offer the following Design Consultation Services:
Preliminary Design Consultation: Whether you are a new homeowner or have lived in your home for many years, we will provide a free design consultation to discuss your project needs, including potential zoning issues and design and budget considerations. If you decide you want us to help you with your project then we will discuss how we can work together as well as the cost for our services.
Pre-Purchase Design Consultation: We frequently help Realtors and prospective homebuyers to evaluate local zoning codes and determine options for future additions and renovations. We can provide preliminary schematic plans prior to purchasing your home so that you can decide if the existing home offers the future flexibility for expansion or renovation that you desire.
